When can I use the mobile portal?
The mobile portal will be available for you to use once you have registered and activated your account using a desktop computer or the mobile site using a web enabled portable device
What do I do if I forget my password?
At the bottom of the login page there is a ‘Forgotten password?’ link. When you click on this you will be prompted to enter your unique ‘Username’ and the answer to the security question that you set up when you first activated your Hays Connect account. On successfully answering this question you will be sent an email with a new temporary password.
Once you have logged into Hays Connect using the temporary password, you should change this password to something more memorable via the ‘Update Profile’ link from the homepage.

How do I approve Timesheet?
Once successfully logged into the mobile portal, you will automatically default to the Approve Time view. You will then be shown a list of all timesheets that are awaiting your approval, with the total hours and mileage expenses (if applicable) for each timesheet in summary view. You can either select approve all or view the full details for a particular timesheet submitted by clicking into the selected row.
Once you are in the detailed view of the time card, you have the options to reject for resubmit, reject and approve. Once you have selected approve a pop up message will appear asking you to confirm the terms and conditions before you can approve the timesheet. Hays will pay your worker and generate an invoice. Therefore you should check your timesheets carefully to ensure you are happy with what you are approving.
What should I do if I disagree with the hours that my worker has claimed?
You have the option to reject any of the timesheets that are sent to you for approval. To do this click into the timesheets to go into the detail of the timecard that you have issues with. You then have the option to either ‘Reject’ the timecard or ‘Reject for Resubmission’. In essence, both of these will return the timecard to your worker, but using ‘Reject for Resubmission’ enables you to add a reason for the rejection, along with comments explaining the changes you want the worker to make before you will approve their timecard.
When should I approve timesheets?
You should approve any timesheet submitted to you as soon as possible after you receive it, and certainly by midday Tuesday, in order to avoid any unnecessary delays in payment to your workers
I approved a timesheet but now I've spooted an error in the hours / days claimed. How do I fix this?
It is important that you check all timesheets carefully as Hays will take your approval as authorisation to make a payment to your worker. However, if you spot an error on a timesheet that you have already authorised then you should immediately contact your Hays consultant.
How do I add a PO number or cost code to a timesheet?
If your organisation requires PO numbers or cost code information in order to pay an invoice, you can add this detail onto your workers’ timesheets. To do this click into the timesheet submitted and then click into the indivudual days / hours submitted to enter PO numbers and cost codes. Once you have added this information and checked that you are happy with the time being claimed then click ‘Approve’ to authorize the timesheet.

What is data allowance?
Whenever you use the internet on your mobile you use data whether it's reading a web page, sending an email, or submitting / approving timesheets in hays connect. With your mobile broadband service provider, you buy a data allowance which is used up when you're online.
If you do not consent to this you should connect via Wi-Fi as much as you can to save using 3G data. Hays will not be held responsible for the volumes of data you use on our web sites.
